Sunday Ministries Training
Saturday, August 27th at 9:00am

On the morning of Saturday, August 27th, at our Sullivan’s Island location, we will train and equip folks to serve in the following ministry areas. Please email Stephanie Mann Reed at Stephanie@holycross.net and let her know how you want to serve on Sundays and which location you would like to serve – Sullivan’s Island, Daniel Island or I’On.

We will provide training on August 27th for these ministries

Altar Guild-The Altar Guild ministry is for young and old alike, and could be something that a child could assist a parent with. You serve once every four to six weeks and set up the elements that we use for communion each week, as well as the appropriate hangings and hymn numbers in the worship space.

Greeter/Usher - We are always looking for more people to give a friendly welcome as people arrive at our services, and then assist with the collection and communion. Great for an individual, a couple, or a family.

Layreader/Chalice Bearer - Would you like to serve by reading Scripture or leading the prayers, and by assisting with the chalice at communion? This is a great way to serve and means being involved about once every four to six weeks.

Prayer Ministries - Would you like to serve by praying with a prayer team for individuals during communion? Chris Warner will give an introduction and training in various aspects of prayer ministry. This is also a perfect place to explore prayer ministry at Holy Cross which extends to other areas like SOZO and healing prayer ministry.
