We are excited to announce that beginning on Thursday, March 18th at 7:30pm, Holy Cross will host a monthly online class on apologetics (the intellectual defense of the truth of the Christian faith) led by the Rev. Jonathan Bennett (Associate Rector) and Stephanie Jones (MA Christian Apologetics). Together, we will tackle tough questions concerning culture through the lens of Scripture, and in doing so equip you to effectively share the grace of God and confidently defend the truth of the gospel.
Who is this course for?
If you are a Christian who is growing in your faith through weekly worship and participating in our Life Group ministry, then you will probably find this a helpful supplement to these things. No commitment is necessary. Just show up on any given month and participate via Zoom. The format will be a 30 minute teaching, followed by 30-40 minutes of discussion time.
Please email Jonathan Bennett at jonathan@holycross.net if you have any questions.
Session 001: This is my truth, now tell me yours
Subtitle: Examining reality & truth in an age of feelings and relativity
Description: The session will provide an overview of worldview and discuss objective truth and reality in a culture focused on feelings and relative truth. What is a worldview? Does everyone have a worldview? How do we distinguish reality, truth, and feelings? What are the key features of your worldview and what important questions does your worldview answer? How can we evaluate the validity of our worldview?
